Story

Help us help Lifeline

One in five Australians have suffered or are currently a sufferer of anxiety or mental health issues. On average eight Australians take their life through suicide each day. For every suicide there are 30 attempts. Through the founders' personal experience with depression Go for Broke was started in 2016 to help remove the stigma around this diplitaing desease and raise funds for mental health.

You can’t just cure depression. It has to be managed with help, support and love given by those around sufferers. Now in its forth year Go for Broke has now raised in excess of $85,000! All funds raised go to the great people at Lifeline. Every dollar is used at the front line of mental health support. Wendy Carver, Lifeline’s CEO will be at the start line to say thank you in person.

Please give for this worthy cause. We don't ask riders to raise a minimum amount, we hope all riders raise money for Lifeline because they want to, not because they have to. Help us help Lifeline.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a personal crisis & need help please contact Lifeline.

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Incorporated

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury (H2H) exists to support people in crisis and save the lives of those experiencing thoughts of suicide.

For 50 years, our highly skilled volunteers have provided 24/7 support via our 13 11 14 crisis support service. Somewhere in Australia, there is a new call to Lifeline every minute, every day. People call about many things, but every call has one thing in common: it is a cry for help.  Lifeline services operate 24 hours a day.  By supporting Lifeline you are supporting a community service that operates when most other services are closed, when people in crisis have nowhere else to turn.

Lifeline H2H also provides a suite of face-to-face crisis support services that support people in our community in immediate crisis.
